Farm Mechanization

Mechanization is a key component of PLDDB’s modernization strategy.

The organization is progressively introducing modern agricultural and livestock machinery to enhance operational efficiency, reduce dependence on manual labour, improve timeliness of farm operations, and optimize resource utilization.

Mechanization initiatives include forage harvesting, baling, planting, land preparation, silage production, and dairy operations.

Renewable Energy & Water Resource Management

PLDDB is gradually transitioning towards renewable energy solutions to reduce operational costs and improve environmental sustainability.

Current initiatives include:

Solarization of tube wells.
Energy-efficient irrigation systems.
Efficient water resource management.
Exploration of innovative mobile solar technologies for agricultural operations.

These interventions are expected to improve irrigation efficiency while reducing electricity expenditure.
